It may be baffling for some, but Lake Nona can refer to one of two places. There is the private lake and the master-planned community that includes the lake. The community of Lake Nona itself measures 10,900 acres. This includes the private lake Lake Nona which measures 587 acres.
As of the moment, the greater Lake Nona area is composed of approximately 30 neighborhoods. However, only properties developed by Tavistock include the name “Lake Nona.”

Community / School Info
Whether you need a daycare center to look after your toddler or a place for post-secondary education, Lake Nona offers a plethora of options. There are many public and private schools available for kids until they reach high school. Upon reaching that age, all students attend Lake Nona High School. Students who are ready to pursue post-secondary education have three options: Valencia College Lake Nona Campus, the UCF College of Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy at the University of Florida.
